Steven J. Hartung has been Everett Smith Group’s Chief Legal Officer since 2001. Previously, Hartung was a Partner at Foley & Lardner law firm, primarily providing corporate finance, corporate governance, commercial and acquisitions related services to both public and privately held clients. In his role at Everett Smith Group, Hartung oversees corporate governance matters and provides or supervises comprehensive legal services for the company and its domestic and foreign subsidiaries.
Hartung is a member of various professional organizations, including the National Association of Corporate Directors, State Bar of Wisconsin, Association of Corporate Counsel and Christian Legal Society. He is an active member of Brookside Baptist Church, with leadership roles in youth ministries and Crown Financial Ministries, a ministry devoted to teaching Biblical financial principles.
Hartung is a Director of Hartung Brothers, Inc. a family-owned diversified agricultural services company.
Hartung received his law degree, with honors, from the University of Wisconsin, and an undergraduate degree in agricultural economics, with highest distinction, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
